Welcome to AIUK... I think you've put the cart before the horse. The usual thing is to do a beginners course & then join a club, then after a while get as much info on equipment before actually buying any......

Hi, Probably so but buying the kit was a spur of the moment thing as we were at the auction and it went for a nice price, well I thought so! I didnt think it would be a waste if it was not suitable for club use as we have 6 acres of land out in the sticks and could use it there..
Two years ago we stayed at Hotel in Tunisia for a month which had an Archery activity run by a coach who reprented the country in the Olympic games, we went twice a day and got not too bad at it and swore we would look into joining the local archery centre (welsh archery centre Crick near Chepstow)when we got back..but as yet have not had the time.

One of the bows was the same as I had as a nipper which was a mint 5' 9" Slazengers London ,what may be called a flat bow but not sure.
the other is a Marksman 66" Forrest Prince, there are also packets of fletches and rolls of bindings and other things for making strings and arrows as well as some evil wooden arrows with M-A3-L ,3 sided tips on them.
does any one have any thoughts on what i have bought?
thanks
Dave
