Hi,

I am 26 and have been shooting most of my life, and after a 5 year break have been helping to set up a club (Lacon Archers) in our local area (Cleobury Mortimer, shropshire) with the help of Long Mynd Archers (church stretten) who ran a beginners course in September 2007, the club has been going since then with a influx of new members there are now 24 people shooting,

I am current club chairman, and the only member of our club that has shot in competition, I have been trying to guide/teach the others as best I can, however I am a little worried that my knowledge is a bit out of date, so looked around for any help and found AI UK, it was very reassuring to see that I was not badly out of date,

Hi and Welcome ,
Is your club going to stage a round of the Shropshire heritage shoots, they are a good introduction to competition shooting and everyone is really helpfull to new archers, they are also great social events for archers to make new friends from other clubs.
I think there are about 7 rounds in the year at venues all round shropshire.
They are National rounds, Long national for the better archers down to short nationals for the juniors.
If you don't stage a round i look forward to see in you at some of the other rounds. I shoot for Telford
The dates should be being set soon at the county meeting this month i think
if you are interested.
