As advised I've popped in here to say hello.
I'm a relatively new archer having started a couple of summers ago with the club attached to my work - ClubAZ Archers in Alderley Edge, Cheshire. I started shortly after coming back from maternity leave to give me something interesting to do and I love it. I currently shoot a 30lb recurve which was my starter bow but I am hoping to spend one day this week (!) kitting myself out with a pretty nifty compound bow (any advice on switching would be gratefully received). I recently shot in my first ever competition (the Chester indoor) and really enjoyed meeting new people and spending some time concentrating on shooting (even if I didn't shoot as well as I could have). I'm looking forward to spending more time getting involved in helping out at the club (we have about 14 regular archers but about 25 members [majority recurve, just one compound and two longbow/flatbow enthusiasts]) and starting to look into coaching and doing more competition shoots. First I'd better start getting my handicap worked on.
Looking forward to learning a lot from the Archery Interchange members.
