| The first thing everyone is going to say - and quite rightly - is that you shouldn't be buying kit until you've been shooting a while and have an idea of what you need. The kit you have gone for sounds like a good start for a beginner, but without a coach advising you - especially in advance of your course - you just can't tell. Save yourself major grief (and expense) - do the course, find your level, then hit the dealers. Welcome to one of the most absorbing financial drains you can imagine! ![]()

| I'm just waiting to start a beginners course too. Can really see where Richard is coming from. The temptation to buy kit is tremendous. I already have picked out all of the kit I want to buy, Riser, limbs, sights, arrows, button etc. etc. all to match the budget I have available. Gonna keep fighting it though. lol, think I'm starting to know how shopaholics must feel.

| Buying kit Thanks for all the advise. I had some advise from chiltern archery before buying my kit. They advised buying the best riser I could as this Is unlikely to change. My limbs are on a 6 month free exchange so I can swap them for free for the first 6 months as many times as I like ![]() The other kit should keep me going a while too the arrow rest and button etc are top quality. Maybe the sight will ned upgrading £20 Cartel championship sight. I can see where everyone is coming from thoug. Cheers Richard |
