As it was usual in Middle-Ages, you will note that English archers always hit French with great accuracy!!

Have to go with Tigrou on this one, although the back does look like the tricolor (tricoleur???)</p>

Having said that, Cecile is right in a way, that would have been very similar to the english attempt to hit the french, LOL</p>

You've to read the markings from center to outside :
GB : red-white-blue
French : Blue-White-Red !

OK so I have long hair, and believe it or not I do own a Spitfire, but I'm not as good looking as the archer in the picture.
(My Spitfire is of the Triumph sports car variety rather than the WW2 warplane in case you're wondering)
