Hello!

Hi everyone!

I was just browsing the web for info on archery and stumbled across this site (looks great btw) and I thought I'd join

I'm Jenny, from South Yorkshire, and I've taken the first lesson of my beginner's course (after being on a waiting list for over a year) so I'm a complete newbie to the sport. I'm really enjoying it so far and I'm looking forward to the next lesson tomorrow.

Anyway...look forward to chatting with you!

~Jenny~

RE: Hello!

Hi#Jenny!!

It's always nice to have new faces taking up archery. I'm one of them, too. But it's also lovely to see more women in archery, and especially here on the board!!

Welcome Aboard!!

RE: Hello!

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I know what you mean about women in archery; the beginner's courses that I'm taking are done at the same time as the rest of the club shoots and, so far, I haven't seen another female!!

Ha! On the beginners course I attended I was coached by a woman. Excellent coach, but a bit of a bully!

RE: Hello!

Hi Jenny, good luck with the training. Great to see more women coming into archery. I joined Bridlington Archers about three years ago and was the only woman there for about two and half years. We have just started a six week training course with thirteen newbies and seven of them are women, now thats what I call progress.

Kent, and as you are in Shropshire, I think it unlikely, unless you are really, really keen!
