Better late than never, or not?
Hi everyone,

Time to make my introductions I feel, I joined the forum last year just to see what it was all about but haven't really had the time to peruse it until now.

Well, I started archery when I was 10 years old, I went to a have-a-go at my local archery club, Saints & Sinners Bowmen, joined their beginners course, and then went on to the join the club. I shot for the club and the county team at junior level until I was 16 where I then started to concentrate on my college courses and finally my uni degree.

When I finished uni in 2002 I went travelling to Taiwan and saw some people there doing archery out there, this inspired me again so when I got back home in 2003 I decided to take the sport back up again. Since then I have been actively involved in the running of my local club including setting up and maintaining our club website (which I am very proud of), organising shoots, and doing what I can to put our fading club back on the map.

More recently I joined the County squad again and I am pleased to say that I feel I am holding my own, not that I think my archery is anything special, just seems to me that there are very few Gentlemen Recurve archers who try out for our team. I do my best to coach myself but the coaching advice for anything other than level one is somewhat limited within the club.

I have been shooting my stylist supreme since I was 15 after my old Yamaha’s handle snapped in half. I have always used my AGF sight which I am still unbelievably impressed with. I have shot numerous makes and models of arrows, I am not shooting ACE’s with red spinwings.

That’s all I can think of to say for now, I hope to make it to some more (well any) open shoots next year, this year I have been rather involved in other things to commit to anything. I look forward to seeing you out on the circuit.

Now are we talking about the archery one here aren't we...cause a number of people have said to me that they get some thing completely different when they search for Saints & Sinners in Google.
