Hello to everyone :)

Hi

I'm Richard, I've just finished my first weekend of my GNAS (is that right?) course at the Green Dragon Archers in Knebworth and am having a great time so far!

I have a question no one seems to know the answer too.

Why is a riser...called a riser?

Richard.

Welcome Weyland. One of the definitions of a riser is that it's part of a stepped structure- I suppose if you look at a recurve from the side the limbs are layered onto the riser in a stepped way..
