New fromt he Kingdom of Fife

Hello

Having just joined this forum I am keen to find out if any other archers are in Fife and keen to maybe start a new club.

I am based in the East Neuk and although St Andrews Uni has a club I am not a student and too old to pretend. i.e. they won't let me play unless I give up my job and become a student.

Not able to be so drastic so let me know if anyone is interested.

Cheers
trevor

Hi there Golfer

Welcome to the forum.

Hrmm there is a club thats shoots out of cluny clays their called Kingdom Archers.

They were originally formed by chiltern that had a shop on the premises, you should be able to find more info on the SAA website.

By clicking on the following link, you can email Jackie Dunlop whose the admin for the SAA she will be able to advise you of contact details for your local clubs.

There are two clubs based at Cluny Clays:

Kingdom Archers meet on Thursday evenings and Forest Spirit meet on Wednesday evenings. Kingdom archers are affiliated to GNAS and Forest Spirit to SFAA (Kingdom for target, Forest Spirit for Field Archery)

Membership of Kindom archers is £20 plus the GNAS/SAA/Eastern Area fee (£53????)

Shooting fees are £3.50 for a Thursday evening or all day on Sunday.

Your could also try Links Archers at Montrose if you go across the Tay Bridge (it could be argued that they have the best training facilities and coaches in Scotland).

If you're in the East Neuk then Cupar Bowmen might be your best bet. I don't have contact details but the SAA should be able to let you know.

Oh and welcome to the forum

Thanks for the welcomes, might well try out the Cluny Clays - trouble is that all of these are a fair drive - just me being idle.

You never know, I might find a few based round and about...

Cheers

Welcome Golfer66

We had the same problem here on the other coast a few years back. Had to start a club to get some shooting. Still no field archery though. Watch this space.......
