Hello, my names Rob. I'm fairly new to archery. Have been on a course with SCOA near Halesowen West Midlands and am having a go at Recurve and Compound. My quest so far is to get the right arrows, so, I have just sold my first set of Jazz 1960's and bought some ACC's. It appears that the famous Easton chart cannot be trusted, as two sets of arrows - Navigators and Jazz, were both too stiff. So I suppose its a learning curve. At least the club I have joined has some friendly members. Thanks.

the easton chart is good for a rough guide have bought a few arrows with the chart saying one thing and the arrows doing another but then again that could just be me !!

Generally the consensus seems to be that the Easton charts are about a spine too stiff in most cases. It's good to buy arrows from somwhere that has some made up that you can try, rather than a shop which just reads off the chart. It is only a guide, after all.

Thanks. It was kind of you to send a response as I wasn't expecting a reply. I must admit I am not very good with websites and I'm waiting for my daughter to give me a bit of training. (wer'e doing the archery thing together) I am sure your right about the easton chart because I have also had to go a spine weaker. At the present I am trying out some acc's 3-04 and some spin wings -which I have never tried before either. I see from your profile that you have some expensive kit. I'm afraid that I only purchased an evolution 2, but it did feel good, certainly good enough for a starter. How is your archery coming along? Best regards Rob.
