| RE: To get the ball rolling.. Hi, I'm Leigh. I'm an archery novice hoping to get all the help and advice I can from people who actually know what they're doing. I haven't joined a club yet, but I'm in the process of checking out the Surrey archery community.
Really nice to see a UK-based archery forum!

| RE: To get the ball rolling.. Been shooting for about five years now, currently got an Aerotec with G3s and ACEs that are a bit on the whippy side. Currently inflicting myself on assorted local clubs around Edinburgh because this Uni one isn't up to much (hi Liz!), and hoping to do a fair bit of field this season. ![]() |

Been shooting 10 years, on and off (hoping to stay shooting now I'm free on injury, illness and my degree ) Currently with Aire Valley Archers, Yorkshire, previously shot for Bronte, and Clophill, down in sunnier Bedfordshire. All very nice, very good clubs, full of friendly, helpful people.Hoping for a summer of sunshine to ease me back into competitive archery! |

| RE: To get the ball rolling.. Hi all, my name is Gwynn, I shoot Longbow at Raven FA club. Started with recurve, dabbled with compound but have found love with the bent stick, which I have been shooting some years now. Also shoot with Purbrook Bowmen, a medieval display team. [Taking bookings now!]

| RE: To get the ball rolling.. Hi everyone, my name is Dave Haynes and I shoot with the Bowmen of Pendle and Samlesbury. Currently the Secretary, Newsletter editor, Health & Safety Officer and Junior Development Officer for the club I am currently shooting compound with a Browning Vanguard II at Bowman level. After assisting with coaching at the club for a number of years I undertook and passed the first Level 1 Coaches course here in the North West last year. I've been shooting since 1993. |

| RE: To get the ball rolling.. Hi -- Mike Smith, shooting at Dunheved Archers in Launceston, Cornwall, using a Hoyt GM with Samick limbs, Cartel stabiliser and Arten Olympic sight. Waiting to get on the next Level 1 course that Devon & Cornwall run, and in the meantime helping to coach the juniors (which mainly seems to consist of persuading them not to murder each other while they're waiting to shoot!) Biggest achievement so far in archery - getting the limbs into the right ends of the riser! Good luck to everyone over the coming season, and to Archery Interchange UK.

| RE: To get the ball rolling.. I'm Carl, Shoot at the valley bowmen of Huddersfield. Using a load of cobbled together 2nd hand/new stuff including a Win&Win Exfeel riser & basic W&W wooden limbs (32lb), Easton alu arrows the width of a drainpipe, no clicker, a cheap (and broken) button, basic plastic rest and a basic long rod. Started shooting in late August last year, but winter is Fencing season so I've been off stabbing people and had a few months off shooting. Can hit a target 60 yrds, just don't look at the score.
