To get the ball rolling..

Hi, I've been shooting recurve for just over a year with The Bowmen of Pendle & Samlesbury and occasionally the very welcoming Phoenix Archery Club in Southport. Current setup is a Hoyt Matrix riser with G3 limbs and Beiter stabilisers, Arc button, Spigarelli arrow rest and Sure-Loc Contender-X site. Not actually shot this set up yet, we've just had a baby daughter and I haven't had chance to shoot for 3 months! Biggest archery achievment to date is aiming for and getting the Worst White trophy at a recent club competition.

RE: To get the ball rolling..

I also shoot for the club The Bowmen of Pendle and Samlesbury and have done for 2 and a half years.
I shoot a win&win recurve, this is now my second bow.
I love my shooting and have shot for lancashire.

Hi! Tim Mason from the Phoenix Bowmen in Halifax. I skulk around various discussion boards as either "TJ Mason" or "Mr Barndoor" (missed a barn door -- corny but honest). Look for the sign of the archer fish.

RE: To get the ball rolling..

Hi everybody
My name is James Abel. I'm a member of the rapidly expanding Bridlington Archers on the East Yorkshire coast. I have been shooting recurve for around two and a half years. My bow is a Hoyt gold medallist and I deliberately spread my arrows around the target because I like them and don't want them to crash into one another!
I like to take part in open tournaments and thrill other archers with my ability to keep my arrows away from the middle bit of the target.
Our club has doubled it's membership over the last two years and there are over fifty of us now. We are quite a social bunch who meet on sunday mornings to drink coffee and eat cake, oh yes and to shoot our bows and arrows as well.
Good luck to your website. This kind of enterprise deserves to do well.
Good luck and good shooting to all of you.
Love from James

RE: To get the ball rolling..

Hi all,
I've been shooting nearly a year at Pendle & Samlesbury, and now also Chorley Bowmen. I'm afraid I'm an ebay addict so have way too much archery gear, but this week I've been mostly shooting a PSE X-factor with Merlin Elite Limbs and a borrowed beiter long rod (cheers Adam), oh and a Merlin Max3000 compound for when I feel the need for training wheels

RE: To get the ball rolling..

Hi I'm Julie Simpson, like James (Shawasha) I am with Bridlington Archers. I am the Secretary/Treasurer/Record Officer and I would say that I am better at these three jobs than I am at archery most of all I enjoy bossing the guys at the club about. Its paying off tho, cos in the last year the club achieved some good results in postal competitions amonst other things and they are now working towards classification. More than half of the members have only been with the club for a little over a year or less so I think they are all doing really well. When I do shoot I use a Win & Win Recurve and like Shawasha I prefer my arrows to stay out of the gold, it could be a very expensive business grouping them too close together.

RE: To get the ball rolling..

Hi all,

Just registered. Looks like this could be a very good site. As my name suggests, I am mainly a field and 3D archer, but that doesn't stop me from taking part in target events.
