Back on the Radar
Hello AIUK,

After a few years wondering the archery waste lands with work commitments and a new family, I have returned to shooting after a 6 year break and I'm loving it .

I started shooting in 1995 in a club based at RAF Stanmore Park, the club was run by Phil Hale and Steve Bennett, with huge assistance form Bob and Coral Hoult who were members of a local "civiy" club in Harrow.

I progressed well and soon became a member of the RAF squad up until My wife, Sharon and I had our son, Iain. the Airforce in their ultimate wisdom, posted and promoted me, and so starts the downward spiral into archery oblivion.

but this story does have a happy ending, 18 months ago The Airforce posted me again to a camp with an archery club. I'am now a happy member of Benson Bowmen, coached by Steve Wildman and who's members told me about AIUK, as a footnote, I'm now back in the RAF Squad and I have traded in my old Browning Olympian for a shinny new Helix with G3's

Well its nice to have you back. I took a break from archery but for more lazy reasons.
