Cool Hello everyone

Good morning everyone, and I hope all is well.

This is, actually, my second attempt to post, as something went a little bit awry a few moments ago.

My name is David (although I'm also known as Dave, Smithy, Smudger or YOU - )

Although I tried Archery many years ago (when I was 16 - 18) other parts of my life became more important at that point in my life.

However, just over a year ago I was persuaded to take my Son to our local group (The Anchor Bowmen of Scunthorpe) as he had taken part in a "have a go" session. And the rest is, as they say , history. So now the whole family shoots. I, along with my wife, are Recurve shooters. Whilst "Mr Tall and Lanky" (my eldest lad - aged 14 and standing at agood 6ft 4 or 5) is found his niche as a Longbow Man. And then my "baby" (I'm so dead for that one - LOL) as turned out to be a very good Junior Compound Shooter.

I came to this site via the "little miss purple" link on e bay (and, from what I see I'm not the only one - that's seems to have been a very good way to "spread the word").

So that is a short "hello" speech from me. I hope to talk to you all from time to time.

Take care Now

Hi and welcome! Don't forget to get Mrs Smudger and the offspring to register as well - we're chasing a membership target to be reached by Christmas!

Hope you enjoy the forum - it's a happy little band!

Greetings and welcome, and at the risk of repeating the sentiment, have some cake
