Break in at Spelthorne Archers

I received the following email this evening from Spelthorne Archers:

Quote:
This is just to alert you to a break in to Spelthorne Archers hut. The burglars broke into the locked cupboard where we keep beginners bows in the summer, but fortunately we do not keep them there over the winter.

However, we did lose a club compound bow similar to this:

"Browning Micro Midas 3
Ideal for youth's and shorter draw length's, featuring Browning new HyperMax cam this bow offers 10" draw length adjustment all built into the cam, which means no need to buy extra modules and cams ! "

It is black with black limbs.

We also lost a number of boxes of old but unused school arrows- alluminium with feather fletchings ,which had been donated to us.

If you are offered any of the above please let me or the Metropolitan Police know about them.
Crime number : 0505 209/08.

Spelthorne Archers
Sunbury, Middlesex

We had our club target trolley stolen a few weeks ago I suppose any type of club hut including archery, are seen as easy targets.

We were thinking of buying one of those cameras used by hunters in the states that have Infra Red flash with a PIR sensor and can transmit images via a SIM card. They can be mounted discreetly and the infra red flash is invisible. I think they work out at about £150 and would be the only viable option based on the location of our hut.

If you get any useful info, please could you post it. We have not had anything pinched yet, but there have been definite attempts to get in to our container.

I think it is unlilely to see any of the Spelthorne kit up this way (except on ebay), but if we do, we will contact the police.

Sounds like a smart idea Trev. If it gives you a chance to get your gear back if it does get stolen. It is a bit worrying the amount of archery stuff getting stolen from break in's.
