| I contacted Ebay to ask them to investigate the seller's practices since I spotted that one or two people were actually bidding on some items (nothing as stupid as people sometimes...). It's common for someone to go onto Ebay, put up lots of "items for sale", grab the money (using a fake address) and run, or use it to sell stolen goods in this way. The police generally don't want get involved in these transactions (I've known people to get ripped off and the police refuse to act), but send them the phone number and details anyway - you never know. I've also contacted GNAS to ask them if they will consider putting up a national database of stolen equipment. Reponse is they will consider it. |

| murray Murray it wasnt that long ago that I got an e-newsletter from Chiltern introducing their new manager and she was looking for ideas and I sent my idea to them of a national database of equipment entered by individuals via their committee, have never received any response from them, but in thinking about it GNAS would be the natural choice for a database of stolen equipment, however its gonna be a difficult one to police correctly because it could be open to abuse, but I do believe that if we keep shouting long enough then perhaps it will be fruitful and beneficial to the archery world in the UK. I had a conversation some time ago with Stan from Chiltern and he was of the impression that archery would soon be a licenced sport so perhaps this is already on the cards and people are just waiting for legislation.

http://www.urbandictionary.com/defin...r&defid=653572 //EDIT: BTW, should point out that I'm from Liverpool, my whole family are from Liverpool, my partner is from the Wirral (just over the water from Liverpool) and her entire family are from either Liverpool or The Wirral and none of us (apart from a couple of cousins that we don't talk about) fit the stereotype....

| Dave, the company I am MD of is based in St Helens, the founder is a Liverpudlian and so is one of the key members of staff. I was more concerned about the person who had possibly lost a bow than being PC and offending folk from Liverpool, as I'm sure you understand. |
