| Shooting, what do you think? Helloooo, I've never been sure about "on mass" coaching, but seeing as I was videoing this evening for my own viewing pleasure (lol), I thought I'd share one of the video's with you, and see if anyone can point out any glaring problems. http://www.greenbankarchers.co.uk/andy.wmv This video was taken this evening, after shooting (roughly 8 dozen) earlier in the day. Yes, I do look like a bag of spud's tied in the middle, but none of my clothes fit me anymore, lol. Cheers for all comments, constructive or otherwise. Kae. |

| I still consider myself very green Kae-(opinionated, but green) and wouldn't Dare post a video of myself shooting for sake of saving myself being shot to bits by those who know better! Very stable, very strong, very flowing, very smooth, very consistent, very relaxed........ very fast! If this is a game to try finding a fault - did you torque just one arrow right, 'grabbing the bow a fraction early', or am I seeing something thats just not there? Looks bloody good to me - I'd accept your coaching anytime! |

| Follow through looks "manufactured" so I question whether you're using as much back tension as you could. Good consistent position/balance, looks well controlled. Can't say much more from one video. Would be interesting to see the difference when shooting 70/90 as these are the critical distances IMO

| I presume there was a strong wind, given that the target appears to be 100 yards away behind your right shoulder. But... Perhaps a slight tendency to look to follow the arrow before it had hit, and perhaps an inconsistency in the track of your string elbow (possibly related to Murray's comment)?

| Cheers everyone, all comments noted. I find that whenever I know I'm being watched or videoed I tend to force the follow through. I will work on my back tension, and try to make that more relaxed. The distance was only 20 yards, as I had to use the beginners area to make sure that no-one was behind me when I was videoing (Child protection, vulnerable adult policy etc). Thank you for all the comments, and please keep them coming! Kae. |

| If all the arrows were landing inside each other it was great! If they were all spread out then it's not so good. Seriously, you make it look easy. No poundage worries, then. You look as if you have a pattern and are consistent at working through the pattern. A close up of the arrow on the rest would show any hesitation, but there doesn't seem to be any. We talked in C&Q once about feet and follow through; I think your follow through looks rather stiff, as if you resist it slightly. I will pm you later. |
