The first thing I would check is the sight itself, because that's easy. Fit the sight to the bow, rest the bow gently against the back of a chair or similar so you don't need to hold it, and view the bow from behind so the string line appears down the middle of both limbs.Set the sight at the 20y mark, see where the sight dot appears when the string line appears down the centre of both limbs. Note if it is right or left of the string line and by how much. Repeat for 30y 40y and onwards to 50y and beyond. Each time you are looking for the distance from sight dot to string line when the string appears down the centre of both limbs. If the gap changes at all, you will need to adjust the sight track until the gap remains the same at all settings.
If the gaps are all the same and on the same side of the string line every time, it could be the button position or the stiffness. Are you Rh or LH?

A bow shop will set the bow in a bowvice so the STRING is vertical, then use a spirit level to set the sight so it is parallel to the string. A small charge for this is not out of the way for the benefits it produces. You can achieve this at home but you need to secure the bow vertically to get good results.
