| im glad i started this thread,it has got a great response and has yeilded some inspiring and insightfull reading. On the subject of choking just like marcus said say to youreself i damn well deserve to be here for all the hard work and dedication i have put into my sport, remember all those times when you where practicing when everybody else was talking...that will see you through. Also if you make the odd horlicksdont beat yourself up over it because that is a waste of time, say to youreslf its ok settle down it will even itself out in the end cause you know theres 30,s still to be hit and your up to the task. While we are on the subject everybody what is your average that you can depend on in any circumstaces for me its somewhere between 565-570 with 565 being the really dependable one for a portsmouth.(im shooting recurve by the way). Also slowhand i think we must have been seperated at birth because i also done karate for a few years and yes i also done competitive rifle shooting (regional champion four years field target). All i ave to do now is get a 590 within the next 3 months and you can call me brother LMAO. |

The thing I hate is that I need to practise finishing off a perfect Vegas round, however you can not do that unless you have already shot 8-9 straight 30's, so the opportunity to improve on the choking situation isn't easy to simulate.

IMHO it is about time GNAS forgot about the Vegas, it used to be shot before the advent of 3 spot FITAs.

| Vegas = FITA 18, but compounds use the recurve (big) ten and use the X ring for tie-breaks.
