Is it Better?

Is it better to drive to a competition or be driven? What experiences have you had to balance the overview?

It depends on the two drivers in question.
If one is ME, then it is better that I drive.
If one is someone else; it is better for them to be driven(by me).
Seriously, I am a nervous passenger. I much prefer to drive as it is one of my hobbies. I can relax with some drivers but, I would want to find that out before the drive to a competition.

Two in the car and I'm quite happy to be driven - I can 'chill' quite nicely and it makes a nice change....one in the car and its usually best if I drive, otherwise I don't get far!

For me, it depends on the distance. If it is a short journey, no more than an hour or so, I prefere to drive. If it is a long journey, I want to be driven.

I have no other choice but to be driven if someone is nice enough to offer. I will say this...taking the train, bus and walking to comps SUCKS.

Being driven especially if its back to Scotland from Lilleshall after two days shooting. I'm very lucky as my man does all the driving even when he shoots too. He doesn't like being driven by me even on short trips into town

O.K., let's take the thread a little further (which I was trying to get at), does history show that your performance is better in competition having being driven to it or when you drive to it?

Not noticed a difference - best scores this outdoor season were when I drove, but not many points in it. Having said that I don't often drive much longer than about an hour and a quarter in any direction.

The only 'big' shoot I have been driven too was the inter counties... I have camped at the others, but I can't say that I've noticed a difference. Last year I drove to Shotton on the morning of the shoot and went on to shoot a PB as I did this year at the 5 counties when I was a lady of leisure

Given the choice... I'd rather be driven (dependant on the driver I guess).
