two clickers thick

I was told that Beiter made something along the lines of a half clicker that gave their blade a bit more oomph. Having been to Quicks this afternoon (and cleared out all the purple gear, read not much), they had heard nothing of the sort and suggested trying to fit two blades together held at the top with the washer and with the end cap at the bottom (they only carry the .25 version, otherwise I would've bought a thicker version).

I haven't tried anything yet, but I wondered if anyone had.

I have several Beiter blades of different thickness. The thick one compresses the arrow too much onto the pressure button, thus causing the arrow to move into the bow despite the spring pressure within the button. When the clicker goes off the pressure button springs out pushing the arrow sideways as it leaves the arrow rest.

So double thickness won't do me any good. Would snipping it half way up help or should I just keep guessing?*

*I'm not always guessing, fyi. although shooting next to compounders or in noisy halls I can't even sense it.

Only one thing should be double thick.......The cream for putting over the gateaux.......

Seriously....If you want to make the clicker more solid, I would suggest trying a 1" washer at the top first, before spending... The other possibility would be if you know someone in engineering, as the ref 25 you mention is probably the number of thou/inch they may have a set of scrap feelers in their toolbox with a 30 / 35 /50 maybe.....

You should try a magnetic clicker. They make a good amount of noise but they don't push hard on the arrow.

quicks, ha wot a stupid idea, as the clicker clicks past the end of the arrow the tension that 2 blades would be putting on the shaft would flick the arrow of its shelf

Double clicker

I had a problem with the clicker vibrating instead of a solid click. I bent the blade so there was a little more pressure. This made a better click and stopped it vibrating.
This was on a 0.25. I tried the weaker blade but the click was lousy.

the dread clicker

good title eh It may be that yet again the wrong clicker has been sold there are different types but not obvious check that the clicker sits flush with the riser on the bieter ones the bit that screws into the riser can be one of three types i can't remember what riser you use but have seen many sold with the spacer fitted that holds the blade away from the riser (earlier hoyt risers had a recess around the fixing and needed the spacer) just take the spacer off and fit the screw straight through the blade and the click is much more positive (had this on four club members bows) archery shops getting rid of old stock i recon.

Phil, I use a Merlin Elite, which seems to have the same holes as my Matrix, so I just moved it over, as there isn't a choice for Merlin on the Beiter list. It seems to fit flush, but I'll check for a spacer.
