Proud to help

Anyone out there worried about the hassles of coaching should have been at our improvers session tonight.
Without going into too much detail we put 2 juniors through the course a few months ago and they've been hiring equip since then. Tonight the whole family turned up as the kids had got new bows etc from santa. The mum (an ex-archer) is very ill and had to nearly triple her morphine to enable her to be there to watch.
My mate set the kid's equipment up and we continued shooting ; after watching one of the children shooting I went over and gave the basic 'point of aim' routine and gave the usual encouragement for a 9 year old on the line and on her third arrow she burst the ballon 10M away.

She continued to burst one balloon after another end after end for most of the night

I won't forget the look in her mum's eyes for a long time, I'm not a sentimental person but I really felt it was a privelege to be part of their experience tonight

A round of applause for Coaches ( qualified or unqualified) and Archery-primary-care-givers everywhere. Without them, where would the future of Archery be?
