| Is the question you are really asking is that you have been asked to change your riser, you can't think why and nobody has explained why, and should you now not be confident of the coach? I must admit if someone for example asked me to change my Matrix without a good reason I would be a bit suspicious of the quality of coaching provided as it is proven equipment, but then again I'm a long way from being a top archer...

| Would a coach change a top archer's riser? Doesn't this thread answer its own question? "Top Archer" would presuppose they were in full command of themselves and their kit. My understanding of the position of a coach at that level is one who provides the subtle guidance and steering for continuous improvement, the necessary shooting skills having already been learned and mastered by the archer long ago? Suggesting an archer do something as drastic as change their riser from one they were presumably comfortable with, seems to me to fall more into sponsorship territory than coaching, and then only acted upon in a suitable period of "downtime" between major competitions? Could this be why we now see Alison Williamson and Charlotte Burgess both shooting the Nexus? Alison Williamson Charlotte Burgess |

| Isn't it more likely they will recommend NOT getting a new riser until form development is complete?

| Both KSL and James Park have been fond of not telling me the why of something. They think that i over analyze things so i have been asked to make many changes without explanation. If you think you are so great that you don't need to listen to your coach, there's no point in having one. |
