Pull and Push at the same time..?
with equal force going the opposite directions. (equal pull and push)
works well for me..
give it a try..

I do exactly that, pull and push at the same time and it works really well for me too.

Another thing I've been taught is to look at the arrow point on the clicker just before anchoring leaving approximately 5mm of point under the clicker before expansion. My coach is all for fast releases.

I don't disagree with the sentiment but I do think one does something different in that last bit of the draw that gets you through the clicker. I most like the description of this a full draw action. However, as has also been said there are quite a few methods that actually seem to be described by archers... I have a sheet on this somewhere at home I will try and find it later.

Push and pull eh? Slightly off topic, but do you by any chance get a few arrows going 12 o'clock to 2 o'clock high? (right handed archer).

What do you mean off topic? Halfphaze push and pull through the clicker, isn't that what is being asked? I continue to pull after anchor and push slightly and the arrow clicks nicely for me. Its a good method for fast release just like what Allvyn has said. Most importantly, don't look at the clicker while expanding.

Not really, they usually go straight. But thinking about it, I would say that its mostly pulling. By the time I am at full draw with my bow arm straight and locked with some tension from my "armpit muscles?" for lack of a better word, I doubt anyone can push much without forcing it and the remaining 2-3mm will come from a slight pull.

I was taught to push with the shoulder muscle and abit from the palm. The pushing motion would be towards the gold so as to achieve straightness in the shot.
