| Ben, I think you'd be better off going to find a coach than asking on a forum as I don't think anyone would be doing you a service trying to give you advice on your form based on a few pictures of you on full draw. Keep up the reversals though ![]() Martin

| Three things that could be giving problems, you would seem to have a good line but you have got it from over drawing your bow, the string is too far back beyond your chin, it would lead to a more consistent loose if you moved that forward at least by half - three quarters of an inch and get your line back by rotating the drawing shoulder round more, the string should have a cleaner path and stop any flinching that may develop at the instant off loose as you try and get your head out of the way, and it looks very much like you're holding the bow in the grip on your thumb muscle, a usual trait of those who catch their arm with the string, get deeper into the bow grip enough so that the life line running down your palm is visible when you look through the mirror and finally your bow shoulder looks like it's above the line of the arrow, try and get it at least level with the arrow and perhaps even half an inch lower than the arrow. ![]() |

| Thanks for the quick responses. I usually shoot compound indoors so I was just going to see if there were any major errors in my form so I didn't do myself any harm during reversals. I'll have a look at moving the anchor point when I'm doing tomorrow's training and try and get my hand in a better position. I'll also look at finding a coach at some point (its a little awkward being at uni and not having parents to ferry me around as and when) over the summer (I finish in june so I've got plenty of time to get some coaching in). Thanks for the opinions, more are welcome though if anyone has them. |

| Cupboard needs a tidy-up too. Adam

![]() Honestly. I'm a student, I don't need to be tidy. |

| Uni halls. They don't really mind if we're not tidy, just as long as we don't break anything. Anyway, back to the matter at hand, I've taken another couple of pictures as well as taking 3 turns off the limb bolts and dropping the pundage slightly (I had it wound up to try and build up strength). I'll just post the links though as I don't want to make this thread impossible for people on slower connections. Front Shot Back Shot |

| Advice rather than criticisms of form. It looks like a list of changes, but most, you will see for yourself in light of what has been said. Some of what seems conflicting may resolve itself when the fundamental changes are made. It would be interesting to see pics of you from the same angles, after you have " corrected" things. |

| I realised that as I posted it. I'm so used to having a slightly relaxed arm as a compounder that it'll be interesting trying to shoot recurve again over the summer. Still, good to see there is some improvement in the shoulder. I was also finding that I was able to get my draw arm down when I'd lowered the front shoulder. |
