Easton video

We have probably all seen bits of the Beiter high-speed videos by now, especially the freebie downloads; however, I saw some additional high-speed video of arrow flight recently and was told that it came from the Easton website... I have just looked on there to no avail.

Does anyone know anything of this? Could it be an old promo? was it a download for free distribution?

It was probably from "The Winning Edge, Tips on Archery" which Easton put out promoting the A/C/E. It featured Jay Barrs and ran for 22 mins. The 5-7000 fps high speed stuff is interesting

Only on ebay I imagine, it's about 10 years old.

I had a quick check on You Tube and a couple of other online sources before replying to Cimbian but I couldn't see it.

I think its actually about 20 years old as it was released at the same time as the 1988 olympics video. Hence the reason it featured Jay Barrs.

It included some high speed shots of arrows being shot into a concrete wall.

I think I have seen parts of this video, the part that sticks in the mind is a very slow motion of Jay barrs shooting his Gold Medalist bow and the riser flexing all over the place.

I believe that a copy is owned by a member of the Essex guild of Coaches as it was at a coaching event that I saw the video being played.

Best wishes, Mark

yup - 22 minutes of:
My limbs do WHAT now????
The riser goes HOW- wow!!????
The button gets pushed in at THAT point of the flex?
So THAT's what Coach Chris's arrow looked like last Wednesday at practice as it hit the wall???
So THAT's how an arrow comes off the bow with the wrong nock-height???/
(loads of good stuff)

Some real cute short skirts-an instance of an international archer 'grabbing the bow' loads of good stuff every newbie should roll their eyes to.

...and a little bit of other stuff- like Jay showing us how to screw in a longrod LEFTHANDED!! ( ok thats not the highlight...the short skirts are!)
