Cakemeister's coach has a son. At a recent GB squad day, one of the exercises was to come to full draw, aim (at 18 metres), then close the eyes, count to 5 and release. Son does this. 1st arrow buries itself in wall low left; 2nd arrow exactly same (Dad isn't here, so expense can continue!); 3rd arrow slightly better, and embeds itself in left stand leg. What this - very good - archer was doing was falling over backwards when he closed his eyes, feeling this and "jerking to attention" just before he released. He could control this with eyes open, but was obviously needing to work on it. Blank bossing with eyes open and alone could not have highlighted this - only eyes closed and with a friend.

I would have loved to have seen that- he normally hates it when he gets a 9- his expression when he hit the wall will have been a picture...

I've not had the gut's to try this, but since we've got a wall of bosses 6' tall by 24' or so I reckon this could be worth a try. Should sort out the grouping problem

My coach says that blind shooting should only be done when you're a metre or two away from a boss- and under supervision- we had (a junior) try it out at 25 yards last night (he was spotted very quickly & shown the error of his ways)
