unfortunately not Chris - a lot of this stuff is gleaned over years
I believe that some of our 'traditional' fraternity use string-walking as a way of sighting (and then claim they don't need a sight!), whilst others frown on it...it is effectively banned in some situations I believe.
If that is purely an 'e.g' then sorry - no glossary - it'll all come in time!

There is a 'wiki' which will contain some terms. Click the wiki link in the navigation bar above. And if you can't find the meaning of a term you can always add it to the wiki when you do find out.

To answer the question a bit better, string walking is moving the fingers (starting with 3-under) down the string from the nocking point a proscribed distance for various ranges - all worked out in advance by trial and error. At the closer ranges one can be quite a ways down from the nocked arrow. This works out to the point on distance. From there one must "face walk", i.e. change anchor points or positions.

It must be about the only thing that isnt listed overall it's a great tool for beginers definettly a "jargon buster" plus in the original post string walking was used as an example (or that how it read to me )
