They do offer a non-shoot through cable system for their GC (gents compound) and LC (ladies compound) but not with the eXact.

The answer is very simple. The eXact was designed to be shot as a ‘shoot through’ bow. In my view the angles of the string and cables coming off the bottom cam are unacceptable when used with a cable guard.
I do not know any of our bows that shoots better with a cable guard.

However I have seen them shot this way. I believe that one of the novice compounders from Edinburgh Uni was shooting an eXact and while she didn't know much about it ("
I was given it like this") I think one of the Edin guys is around and shall PM him to see if he can find out some details. I also think ASW1973 used to shoot one.

If anyone can remember more about this please add it.) |
Now who goes to Alternative for customer service....???
I believe the FITA ruling was infact on having the string in contact with your arm at full draw, incase you were using it as an extra reference point, not if the cable hits your arm on the shot.

I tried rotating the release hand this evening and held the release slightly more loosely. On Sunday my arrows were landing 2-3" to the right of the gold this evening they were just slightly to the right. Which might very well be something that a bit of tuning might sort out.
Thanks for the help, will let you know if that has gotten any better.
