I have just uploaded some more clips. These were all taken 'hand held' at the same session earlier today and I definitely should have used a tripod. However they arn't too bad. This one - YouTube - Slow Motion D-Loop on Release shows what happens to a D-loop on release - YouTube - Slow Motion Trophy Taker Fall Away rest on Hoyt UltraElite is a closeup from the side of the Trophy taker as the arrow goes through and YouTube - Slow Motion Trophy Taker Fall Away Rest on Hoyt UltraElite is a slightly faster one.

Those videos are very impressive,did you use natural light or did you have to increase the light level?

Mark, natural light and I forgot to change the white balance back from tungsten and hence the blue cast on them all

Brilliant pics! So the bend in the arrow is causing the shaft to lose contact with the rest. After a short travel, the rest isn't supporting at all.Mmmmm

that appears to be the case. We are going to compare it with the limb driver which is the rest Wendy currently shoots on her outdoor bow.

My concern is the bounce back off the riser.

I noticed that ,too. I would put blu tack or soft foam,underneath but some would not like to do that, I guess.

Hmmmm, I think I may have to invest in one of those. I have to admit the quality is better than I expected of that camera. If you club can stretch to buying it I'd get some better editing software as you'll be able to render in a better formats. If you can't then I'd be happy to do it for you.

Quick question, the clip looks pretty well illuminated, did you use any artificial light sources?

No it was just natural light. The software was what was at hand to get it on youtube. For our own use it doesn't matter as we review the raw data from the camera to a 42" Plasma via an HDMI cable. Thanks for the offer though

I am very impressed with the videos that you have taken, like englishbowman I did wonder about the quality that an "amateur" camera would produce.

I hope that you will take some shots of a recurve and can post them as well.
