I have always been able to get my 27" Navigators on the gold at 100 yards, starting with 36# limbs, and now with ease using 42# Winex limbs. I was unsure when changing from a 16 strand Fastflight string to an 18 strand Angel Majesty. But a change of vanes has made a difference.

540 Nav 7.4 grains per inch (but of course too weak)
430 ace 7 grains per inch +20grains more at the end

But yes, get the wallet open and get some 470 ace's (1.2 grains per inch lighter than 480 navs)

Out of interest, what is the minimum change in total arrow mass that will start to make a difference to your sight marks? I think my compound arrows may be 1/2" too long, but chopping that much off would only save around 3.5gr.

I get to 90m easily. Having a long face and being 6' 5" helps. With my old Gm I was shooting almost level hence better scores handicap wise than at 30m. Anyway as far as HH's question about height difference per grain the general answer in my thread this time last year when I was deciding between Navs and Aces is approx 3gns per ring at 90m. So 3 grns heavier out of the 10 and into the 9

I'll keep you informed if I splash out on the ACE's.

G.
