The OU seem to be going to expand the sports courses they have available.
At the moment they have a 10 point starter course and two Level 1 courses (though they are both 60 pointers) I've just finished a 30 point course and I'm not sure I'd have time for a 60, but obviously many people do.
Anyway - the point is they all look very interesting with the "Working and learning in sport and fitness", a new course, looking particularly applicable to sports coaches. If you do both of the 60 point Level 1 courses successfully you will get a Certificate of Higher Education in Sport, Fitness and Management.
The Level 2 courses aren't available yet but soon will be, but look as though they will contain more work based elements (ie. paid employment) whereas the Certificate courses can be done by anyone working in the volunteer sector.
