If you are using a cavalier clicker becuase your arrows are on the long side, there is an alternative clicker also made by Cavalier which mounts to a plate which sits behind the sight mounting bracket. This generally allows approx 2" of overhang without the annoyance of having to keep moving the clicker when you wish to move the sight in and out.

If you are having problems getting the distances, if your club allows all carbon arrows try Carbon impact arrows, they are very light and strong, but also relatively innexpensive (just a pig to get out of new bosses!). But do bear in mind not all clubs or competitions allow all carbon arrows.

Another option is to do a residential weekend or week course at Lilleshall. I'd do one if I had any hols or money left

According to Surrey County Archery Association's website your County Coaching Officer (CCO) is Mr T Ward of Malden Bowmen. Your county secretary, Mrs Madelin (01932 562065) should be able to put you in contact with Mr Ward who, in turn should be able to help you.

Probably sound a daft question but!.....when you release, do you continue to sight. If the answer is 'No' or 'I don't know' it may be possible that you are looseing and looking to see where the arrow has gone before it's left the bow.....Resulting on the arrows everywhere.

Just a thought...

Paul....

Definately sounds like a loss of form since you passed your 6 lessons.
Any chance you could returm to your original instructor who gave you your certificate for a short one-off instruction session?

It's no different to attending the usual club practice, just on a different day, which wouldn't clash with your other weekly club.

I would happily fork out for some decent coaching if I knew where to get some.
The thing is, unless you're just having a one-off lesson, you will have to commit time to coaching and practice. That's the rub. But I'm sure Barry would be happy to help you on a Wednesday or arrange to meet you some other evening. Barry is a very good instructor, as is Steve P.
