For me (and like sp220 I'm a physicist/engineer) changing kit is very hard to comprehend, arrow flight is complicated to model. If I don't know what's to be gained how am I to assign a priority? The gains could be there and could be important - I'd like to know how important at say 1250 level (that is if I ever get to shooting 1250 again, I know well they're not important at the level I'm shooting atm).

if im SURE my bow has been set up as well as my level of shooting allows then i personally find it easier to then focus on technique as i wont be blaming my kit for poor shots
It works both ways - if I can't see any difference between two spines of arrows or inches of bracing height then I don't have to worry and get in a panic if I find out my button pressure or bracing height has changed a bit.

This is a good one.... however, how do you define correct alignment?
If its based on a picture of an anatomically "correct" archer, it may be impossible to achieve as it is the shape of your body that dictates your alignment. Whats more important is whether you keep the pressure building up and shot execution down the line that you can create.

Tomi Poikolainen was a top Finnish international archer from the 80s/90s. He looked so out of line on full draw it was unreal but the important thing was that he kept the pressures on the shot and got results from it.

This isn't going to turn into another GNAS coaching thread by the way.....
I was only joking in my post because it was actually asked at club by an ex member . My question would be more along the lines of disapline/consistantcy

My one question about MY shooting to someone else would be:-

What do I do well?

Try this..
'What is the last thing you think of, in the shooting of the arrow'?
'See where it lands', is not allowed.....
