You have one question and one question only....

I'm looking for a subject for my next blog entry.

If there was one question you could ask someone about your shooting, what would it be?

I was going to do this as a poll but I'm not sure if there would be enough options. I'm not necessarily going to answer in my blog, I'm just interested - it may be the same question I would ask!

Feel free to PM me if you don't want to post publicly.

Cheers.
Martin

If I leave my bow with you whilst I go shopping, will you tune it for me? as I have a competition on the weekend and wont have time to do it for myself.

Is tuning worthwhile - how much difference does it make? Not exactly about my shooting but you get the drift.
A question that I could answer myself with a few experiments and a bit of time. No statistically unproven answers allowed ie 'I went to the field today and I twiddled my string and suddenly all my groups shrunk' does not count!

Don't get me wrong I wouldn't ask a personal coach this (I'd be on technique here too).
However, I'm sick of so many, eg archers 1st class and below, claiming how vital and how important tuning and kit is and when what they say is so unvalidated and must be chance (ie I know their scatter would mask the effects they claim if my scatter does). I think it's a big gap of knowledge that coaches harp on about, and moreover it would be easy to prove the answers unlike when personal elements come into it. I'd ask to finish the debate.

Not being a physicist/engineer type person like I know some people here are, I feel I understand form much better than equipment. Therefore I would ask someone to explain how to set my bow up properly, not just out of the manual, and in small words. (I have actually found someone in the real world who is willing to show me this, so hoping it all works).

If I can't have that I'd ask for a nifty gadget that makes my arrows hit the middle. Always.

There's been some good suggestions... I'm off to order some hot pants after work although the idea of Daffyd from Llanddewi Brefi springs to mind.

Would I be wrong in suggesting that people concentrate on requesting kit/tuning advice, as changing kit for better results is easier to comprehend than changing technique?

This isn't going to turn into another GNAS coaching thread by the way.....

hell - as most of you know i like to research and ask questions about kit and setup (almost as much as KC does ! ) - but im WELL aware of the little effect twiddling has on someone of my level - i just think the psychological effect is more important than the physics to me - if im SURE my bow has been set up as well as my level of shooting allows then i personally find it easier to then focus on technique as i wont be blaming my kit for poor shots

as for my question ?

how do i get that back elbow further round and back into correct alignment without it messing up the front end of my form ?
