I would agree with you BE, as how can one compare the level of skill needed to aquire a leaders certificate, as opposed to the skill and knowledge needed to become a coach, otherwise whats the point of there being a coaching course, everyone would just be leaders, I can see this issue leading highly qualified coaches thinking "why am I bothering with this" when I could just attend a 4 day course and get the same accreditation.

I believe (and I could be wrong) that "Coach" course has been phasered out. The last one ran at the end of 2007 in Wetherby I think.

Thanks for all the info.
We had hoped to do a summer scheme and include archery as one of the activities.
As the course I was originally hoping to do fell through, the scheme organisers are using the money to buy a couple of Playstations instead

Sorry if I started a fight.
I thought the difference between the Leader and Coach was obvious from just their titles! One's a coach the other's an activity leader!
The less qualified one can get paid while the experienced, highly qualified one works for pennies!!!!

Next week's leader's course was cancelled but work won't let me retract my holidaysso the wife's given me a list of things to fix round the house.
