I'm not sure if all of these are registered coaches or not, and this is my own opinion only for compound coaching:

Nichola Simpson and her Husband
Lucy Holderness
Mark Franklin
Chris Jones
Mike Houghton (If he could be persuaded, bribed or kidnapped)
Ben Jones (for technical aspects of setup etc)

I also believe Mike Peart can be a very good coach.

There will be others that I don't know or am not aware of and no disrespect is meant to those who give up there time freely to develop archer. However I think most who have read any of my posts will know that IMHO the best compound coaching and technical advice comes from John Dudley a GNAS member BTW but not a Registered coach.
Yes, I did think that there are many non registered coaches that do a great job but I felt that I needed a frame of reference to avoid clogging up the thread with instances of " X at club Y knows his stuff". I have no doubt that John Dudley is top banana and would be an obvious candidate if money was no object.

I know this sounds like advertising

Tony Preston and Bert Hastings at you guessed it Perris Archery.

But working with these guys I see it everyday with all levels of archers and I have experienced first hand the ease at which they resolve issues (technique and hardware) and put you on the straight and narrow.

Apart from Nicky I think Mike has taken on one or two other students. I heard on the grapevine that he is actually very good but yes quiet!

Don't want to embarass him but I would like to acknowledge my ACTUAL coach, Grimsby Archer (AKA Chris Petchey). I have until recently been a "self coached" archer, gleaning most of my information from books, magazine articles and the like but since last year have also been helped by Chris. I think he himself would say that he doesn't know everything, especially regarding compounds, but this attitude also reflects in his ongoing commitment to learning and his flexible unbiased approach - in that sense I think his approach is truely scientific. He is always positive and always has an encouraging word or two to say. That said, he isn't afraid to give you a bit of a prod when you really have your head stuck in the sand about something!

Anyway the fact is that my shooting has improved faster since I started working with him and I don't think it's a coincidence. He is the sort of coach, working at club level, that any club should be glad to have and we at Grimsby Archers are glad we've got him. Cheers Chris!
