Any ideas?

We had a mail come through this morning, here's a copy.

rog says jades arrows are spirelling when they leave
string ...anchor point is ok...shes pulling back ok
would it have anything to do with the pressure button?
i cant think of anything else
rog says he watched her really closely and she was working
to how shes been taught but they keep doing it
he was watching the other 2 juniors with her and theirs werent doing iy
can you sort it out for me on thurs if your down as i dont know enough
to do it......thanks

Without seeing her in action I'm not sure myself, other then the action of the string hand. Any other ideas out there? The lady in question is 8yrs old & as tall as two stacked pennies My good lady has knitting pins that are longer than her arrows, Her arrows were made to measure at some reputable dealer, can't remember who though. She can shoot 30yds with quite good results

Spiralling shows up issues with both horizontal and vertical arrow flight which are bow and or archer related.

I would look at nocking point, centre shot/pressure, release, arrow spine, bow arm reaction, bow hand placement, tension in bow arm, using arms or back to pull the string back, peeking after the shot, stance, standing up straight, anchor, position of the string on the tab. But seriously most likely it's because she is 8 years old and still learning to shoot consitantly although peeking to see where her arrows land is very common

That's quite a list, pretty well what I had in mind. There is another thought, she could be getting tired quickly, as she is a little mite.
The request came after a Sunday shoot, & could we please watch her this week. Granddad was watching her & comparing her with other juniors (with no knowledge of the other juniors experience in shooting) . Granddad does not shoot. Grandma does shoot, & I think there maybe some pressure put on our young lady to improve from grandma.
Words will have to be said methinks

If it is all new to her then there is only three things I would recommend at this point;...
1/ Check the knocking point
2/ Check the button pressure if one is used
3/ Check bracing height
Although some may think B/H is not important to a beginner, it can (if not correct) cause the berger adjustment to have no effect....

Not that new to the game, I think she came to us at the back end of last years outdoor season. She has shot indoor as well. The three points you have listed have been looked at some time ago, but that does not mean they have not been altered one way or another since. We will check later today

Is the string suitable for her nock sze? i.e. is the nock too tight? Also fletching size on a low poundage bow needs consideration

Never gave that a thought, but looking back, I do not recall any problems in that department. The fetching issue is a good point.
Grandma number two took her out yesterday, so we will not be seeing her until Thursday.
Thanks for the pointers.
