Geoff.. ....Try this ..If you draw the plan of your sight line of both eyes they form a perfect triangle, this is where I think the problem starts. Whats more after you mentioning it the other day, I have only now been able to click on what I was trying to think.....
The triangle will work for one distance only, to work at others it means the angles need re-lining. This is not a major problem if you are aware of it, but basically it will need the sight pin adjusting sideways at distance changes, or the option would be to do the distance test and see how much the effect has, then pack the mounting to suit.
Hope this makes sense...

Thanks for that, Paul.
I know what you mean now.
The sight will move in towards the bow as I move closer to the target.
At point blank range, the arrow shooting parallel to my left eye's line of sight will land 60mm to the right. As I don't shoot that close to the target(often) I won't even try to compensate. I will get sight marks for 60y and see how the windage needs adjusting for 20y. I can then draw the triangle;
vertical line as long as space between 20y and 60y sight marks.
base of triangle as long as windage difference, going right on the bottom of the vertical.
Join the two ends to get the hypotenuse and its angle from vertical.
Match the scale bar to that, yes?
I might need to modify the sight. The length of the threaded rod is such that it will be noticeably not level. I guess that could become a problem, unless the angles are less than I imagine at present.

Geoff.. If it is permanent as I said, you could just pack the sight mounting slightly to make the adjustment unnecessary on the normal day... ...even though the pin may not be level, so long as you sight the same each time, no problem...

Hi Paul,
Yes , I agree about the packing. I am trying to get a rough idea of the angle required to produce a slope to the sight scale that will counter act the windage adjustment.
The other issue will be the sloping threaded rod that results from packing the mounting.That depends on the amount of packing needed so I will sort that once I know what angle works on the scale bar.
I get a very clear picture of the sight and gold with the left eye so I guess it will be a permanent change.
I might try shooting with it a little longer before I make serious mods to the sight.
It has thrown up implications I never expected. I am glad of your help, cheers for that.
