| You've not mentioned energy level or mental state, which for me, can often be the reason I'm not shooting well. If my mind is elsewhere, no matter how much I want to shoot, I'm not focused or concentrating and then stance, grip, release, anchor, etc all go out the window. And certainly if I've gone to the club after a hard day at work, haven't eaten since lunchtime, etc., my physicality will be a big drawback. There are also those little things you can't see that could be going wrong - torquing, meeting the string instead of bringing it to your face, not being in the T as Phil might say, hook not quite right, etc. It really helps having someone watch your form from time to time. I've had people point out minute things that made all the difference. And don't forget, sometimes you'll just have a bad day!

| when i have a bad day i look at me, if that doesn't work i get someone else to look at me, after all its 99% sure that its going to be me, but i check for things like, stance = am i hunched or standing tall, does the riser feel good in my hand = is it in the optimum spot of the thumb muscle draw = am i achieving constistant draw and consistant anchor, draw = am i bringing my draw arm inline with my arrow ,(ensuring good back tension) bow arm = is it inline with the optimum power triangle, is the shoulder low at the front, elbow rotated out of the way, sight = is the sight on the target and the string down the centre of the sight, squeeze back muscles even more and when click goes off relax fingers, did my draw hand go back yes/no yes = good back tension no = bad bad bad

| hmmm well....probably my processes... We just shot our indoor nationals and it was funny to watch the girls from our club. When we step on the line or let down a shot, we all bounce on our feet to check our weight balance and crunch down on our abs to remind ourselves of good posture. So I guess that's what we do ![]() I generally just pay more mind to my processes from the feet up. |

| My follow through is normally the first port of call. Then my release. If there is still a problem, then I do what I should do, and check all my equipment, and then analyze my shot cycle to see if there is something inconsistant. If I still have a problem, I start fiddling with my bow, muck everything up, panic and then start all over again. ![]() |

| The follow through; both arms, where are they at the end. How did they get there? Where do they finish normally? |

| string picture (as in, am i using it?) |

| Normally, I would start with grip position....check its in the right place and is constant. Than I will kinda work my way back along my arm. Check that I am drawing correctly and that my string picture is correct. Then move back to my release. REcently, problems have been down to either my grip or release.
