mutual assistance

Right - firstly didn't know where to put it - here seemed good as any.
I have, over the last fifteen or so months of my involvement in this 'game', heard various shouts of "shooting a compound will concentrate your form", "recurve reminds you of the basics..", "longbow is where you 'feel' the shot"...
What I would like is for a few of our many very experienced members to give an opinion on how one style may benefit training in another style.
Hope that makes sense - don't want a poll, just opinions

Hmmm

I've only got recurve & longbow experiences to go by, but I'd say that chalk helps your visual skills & cheese refines your sense of taste.

There are certainly things to be learnt about shooting from each of the disciplines, but most of them are non-transferrable IMHO.

I learnt quite a lot about recurve shooting from my target air pistol, but also confused myself into a 10 point drop in scores by forgetting which shot process I was using the autopilot for.

YMMV
