I never take my watch off, except to wash, shower etc. It does not interfere with my shooting, so why remove it?

Depends - if you shoot (properly) with a bow sling then probably not. OTOH how on earth could you catch yourself on the return stroke without... unless you have a major flick of the wrist on release.

A watch, what a crazy thing to worry about. Brains are terrible things if left to their own devices. Next there will be posts worrying about which pocket to put your wallet in, hair length, belt buckles, how tight to tie your shoes, magic neclaces. A watch is only a problem if you think problem but by that point the problem is far bigger than the watch so you end up with nutty problems everywhere in archery. I like to shoot with a watch on so i can easily tell the time. It doesnt bother me because why should it bother me, its pretty impossible for it to give me any negative effects as it weighs nothing and doesnt get in the way of anything.

I wear a large egg timer on my wrist to balance my sight, and in a pinch, allow me to boil the perfect egg

Hah! Now I might not take my watch off, but I always take my wallet, keys etc out of my pockets, so I don't have anything protruding to catch the string on (ooh er )....
