| Will do So - seeing the now infamously bad drawing of a bow (hahaha) limbs at such an angle would through of off brace height would it not? Could this be my noise culprit? ... Cheers for the replies by the way ![]()

| Well I would assume as it's not designed to be shot like that it won't help matters. It would be an assumption at this stage that the effect of not having enough pretension (Brace height equivalent) on the limbs causing the limbs to move back and forth in the pocket after you shoot.

| That explains a lot If I set it up and take it down again its fine. HOWEVER, if I set it up and shoot for an hour or so, the bottom limb does not want to come out again! Right that settles it - I am off to tighten the adjustment back to norms Guess I will just have to guess where that is visually!

| Some other sources of noise: String material has been mentioned, but number of strands can also make a difference (suggested that fewer strands can be quieter). The construction of the string can also cause noise (less easy to be dfinitive about that). Accessories can also be noisy, even when properly fastened down. You might not notice (for example) that the source of the noise was your sight, unless you shot some arrows without it. |

| I did the changes so the limb adjustment bolt type thing has a 'weeny' gap as that seems to be where it should be And man is it heavier to draw! I moved my brace height to 21.5mm as well (manufacturers min recommended) compared to 23.5mm which is was at (manufacturers max setting) We shall see If no change then I may pop it back as think this may be too heavy for me to finish my usual shoot!

| FOLLOW UP Well guess that was it Either the limbs being adjusted so far or that mixed with the high brace height. But after lowering brace height to min and putting limb adjustment back to a visual zero - bow is quiet and scores improved by 30 points today in a Short National !! (457) though its probably psychological - not fearing the bow exploding anymore hahaha! Thanks for all the help offered Jaarus ![]()
