| Ive started using a clicker, after 18 months. Shot 1st class scores with ease during this time but to improve i feel i need to be more consistant . My Coach was the one who started my use of the clicker and it was very well explained and i feel happy with it. Go for it when ready. |

| As soon as the first hint of vertical scatter emerges, ergo the form is good enough to produce a group but the group is elongated vertically. That was the point I was told I should use a clicker. I still use them on my older compounds because of a slightly soggy back wall. |

| I shoot with a clicker and thoroughly recommend one. In my case it keeps me from getting lazy later on in a round. To me the hardest part of the clicker to master was the mental aspect. I believe it is important to stress that a clicker isn't some kind of Pavlovian trigger. It is a draw check INDICATOR. I have seen too many people think 'Click, loose', heck I have even seen people 'go' on someone else's clicker clicking.

| Day 1 and not allowed to EVER shoot without it. It's like giving them a cricket bat and telling them they have to learn to bat with their eyes clsoed. I have coached a number of juniors who have won state and national recurve titles and they all had clickers from day one. Even 10 year olds are using clickers from day one. BTW we have no problem keeping them either. Shirt is spot on, it's not optional, its mandatory.

| Good point with the not letting it become a trigger. Letting down the shot is hard, however the next shot usually seems very good. |

This is exactly how good trigger and back tension shooters shoot also.

![]() Every archer should be able to draw through the clicker and not flinch or shoot the arrow... I've come across few club level archers who can do that. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| It seems that a combination of good technique and confidence in the set up help. If set for too long a draw then people will struggle. Try it and if it isnt working after giving it a good go, have a break and come back later? |
