You know your a coach when......

....you spend 2 hours out of a 3 hour session helping juniors, beginners and experienced archers get their 20 yard sight marks for the county championships,

.... then you do a FITA white arrow assessment

.... you seem to be answering questions or sorting out equipment all the time

..... before geting some time to sort out your own sight marks for the county championships.

..... and you don't mind that much at the end of the day

You know you're a coach when you don't buy any archery equipment for ages but the cost of your archery goes up!

...you put in an order with an archery retailer totalling nearly £1000, but less than a quarter of it is for you.

...it's been so long since you used your bow that you sell off the sight and button to another club member (so you can 'upgrade'), and it won't make the slightest difference to your standings in the club's winter Portsmouth series.

...someone asks you if you shoot compound or recurve, and you can't remember because its been so long since you actually did any shooting for yourself.

...your bank statement shows £150 for your coaches course, £100 fuel to and from coaches course, £100 club subs, £37 GNAS, £200 accomodation and fuel to/from national coaches conference (need that for my CPD when I want to renew) £200 for all the non-archery courses that have to be attended by you as club coach so your club can keep its clubmark, and all so that you can have all the beginners to yourself (for free).

... you never feel as though you deserve better

... youve run beginners courses every sunday for the last two and a half year, but you wake up in a sweat worrying about your lack of CPD points at renewal time. 150 Beginners courses - nil points
