| Ok this isnt great, and in all honesty i feel a bit embarrassed putting my shooting on here: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v7...=fingering.flv The first part isnt great and in all of them i wobble around a bit at full draw as i try and direct my wife with the camera In the 2nd and 3rd part i try and show my hand more, but i cant do a vid of my release till tomorrow. Feel free to comment on it as you can tell i probably dont get any coaching. If lots of people have the arrow rubbing their finger i might cut another piece of oberon with a flap to get inbetween. Oh yes and i put a formaster on very loosely, just in case i did something stupid to minimise the damage. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| I'm sorry, but you and your wife just made a video called "fingering.flv"! And put it on the net. *snigger* ![]() Just made me laugh, that's all. Sorry I haven't got anything to say about your form. I'm underqualified to comment.

| Your complaint is a common one. Even more so when larger diameter arrows are used. The string angle through to the fingers plays an important part in the top finger rub which is what you are getting. Because of the way your finger joints work and of the string action on those fingers at full draw, to make the spacer fatter will not help..it needs to be longer, taken to about the last joint on that top finger. But, be carefull, if it is overly long and with an extended and slightly high drawing arm/elbow, (nothing wrong with that) there is opportunity for the finger spacer to touch the arrow. With your finger pressing onto the top of the arrow, there is every chance for your arrow to pop up higher than the normal group and more so when you get tired. The new hooked Cavalier spacer is excellent and can be bought separately of the tab. For what it is worth, your form in the presentation of the shot looks dandy. Make the spacer longer and I'll think you will solve the problem. |

| Ah thanks a lot, it makes sense as when i shot with a cavalier this wasnt as bad! I know this isnt pretty but do you think this is going too far: ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Ok i'll try and put more of the pressure on my middle finger as well, ta. It's definately the arrow rubbing me and not the string but that finger does tend to get more sore on the pad as well. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| i have the opposite problem - i.e. 3rd finger (one next to the pinky) gets sore. hope you get it sorted though and like others have said general form looks good your groups seemed ok from what i saw on weekend Al

| I use a brass nock and trim the face of the tab wider. Slide the tab down the string and put the edge of the tab on the out side of the brass nock. Put some pressure on the string and the tab will not climb over the brass nock, keeping your fingers well clear of the arrow. it also give a solid point of reference as the top finger is held by the finger spacer and the bottom of the platform so no movement there.
