How tuned are you?

Forever in persuit of that perfect tune?
I thought it might be interesting to find out where we all stop, and say 'That's enough- just shoot the damn thing!'
How would you vote?

A basic set-up is good enough

I tune 'close enough' -tiller, BH, button, point weight, string, balance etc

My bow is tuned perfectly to the ultimate of my ability.

or somewhere in between.

Now growling at 16 hrs 13 mins without a smoke - if I could go to bed now i'd make 24 hrs fairly easily

I tune to the best of my ability.

I know I can shoot MB and get close to GMB scores when I pull my finger out (and equipment stops failing ), so I tune to that standard.

Its impossible to tune a bow to shoot better than you can.

Kae.

My bow is tuned as well as it can be, which is dependant on how well I can shoot. As I improve so will I improve my bows tune.

I like Kae's comment: Its impossible to tune a bow to shoot better than you can, because I would say it is both true and yet not true at the same time.

I'm still learning. I've only been shooting 11 weeks, and I've already changed my arrows which has completly destroyed the groupings I was getting, so I'll be playing at the club tomorrow

As long as I'm confident in my tune and gear I feel ok.

We've been having fun learning what works best for all our bows here and I can't wait 'till Sunday when we start shooting outdoors again to see if all my recent equipment upgrades and hours of fiddling (or tuning if you like) have done to how I shoot at distances over 20 yards!

kae is right if you think about it===== if you cant put 3 arrows together how can you tune a bow. thats why we have basic settings

Somewhere between the first two - bareshaft for nocking point, eyeball the centreshot, do a quick walkback - takes about an hour and that includes redoing the string. They're coming out straight now so I'll probably leave it all alone till this time next year...
