I'm a Phd student. I have no life. I work a minimum of 12hrs a day and that is usually more like 16. And then I leave uni and go to archery to try and remember what my bows look like. And one some days I even get to see my husband.

Marcus gets to play with archery gear all day.

Seems like 2 options: Learn to ignore it or learn how to minimize it's effect.
The former is purely a mind game, the latter a combination of mind game & kit.
If your central vision is clear then a central dot, or paradoxically an open ring might help. You're aiming (pun) to either focus on the exact centre, or on the "big" sight picture.
Ultimately, there's a mental element to deal with. The rest is a matter of choosing what suits you best.
IMHO.
(& with hopes that things improve as mysteriously as they came)

Not sure that what you are describing is the same as Buzz.

I have had the rapid eye twitch (tic) recently. Did some research on it, and think it probably caused by sitting in front of a computer all day. The blink response tends to get suppressed, and the eyes dry. This may well happen too with microscope work.

Fortuntely for me it was always in the left eye, and I shoot with that closed!

It seems to have stopped in the last few weeks. Perhaps it is because I have skived off a few days to go down to the field and shoot, so spent less time in front of the screen than my boss would like.
