Monday night I had a little exchange with our head coach and some of our newer users of the implement called a "clicker"

Yes at the beginning the newer users tend to be distracted by their neighbours' clicker. But our head coack reminded us that in the end an archer should "feel" the clicker and not really "hear" it. It should get into an archer's system as a part of himself, as a well-integrated element of his "shooting system".

I have to say I started this thread (oo, me Is are back) because I didn't want to ask 'should I get a clicker' However it seems that the consensus is to use a clicker and as soon as possible. However 'as soon as possible' is primarily dictated by the availability of a good coach.

I acknowledge that there are some decenters to this view, and they are entitled to their opinions, but as I say, it seems that the majority view is clicki.

Ok, so where am I going to get a good coach?

As a little aside to the thread, imagine two archers with bare bows shooting equally well. One then puts on a sight and...............
Imagine the same two archers with bare bows shooting equally well. One then puts on a long rod and.................................

If the same archer adds the extra equipment each time,I guess the other will feel disadvantaged, even before the shooting continues.
I posted this on the "Clicker no clicker " thread but it seems more appropriate here.
Murray, I like your list of reasons.
I made a mistake in my earlier post. I meant to say
" Surely someone has reasons why clickers should not be used."
Are they bad for some archers in some way?
