This is basically the situation the coaches in my club have faced in the past 5 years (there's been 5 of us). We have a policy of not touting but will intervene if safety is compromised yet we are expected to be the "Master of the Quick Fix" whenever they are needing help. Should coaches care, yes - this is why we spent over a year learning how to help others and I find it frustrating watching archers frown when they could be smiling if only they would accept a little help. Most seem to just want to know what the problem is and they will work it out in their own way regardless of how long it takes. On member had a PB in a Portsmouth before Christmas, got stabilisers as a present and only a few weeks ago asked how to balance the bow - he wondered why the end of the long rod kicked up. He was told how the bow should balance and I gave him some spare weights to try. Result, he shot a Portsmouth last weekend and was only 5 below his PB.
WE can't force people to listen to us but it might benefit them if they only would occassionally then the world would be a more

place.
